“Asshole with a Purpose” is a song about the tension between impulse and self-awareness — the moment when someone doubles down on desire even while recognizing how messy, selfish, or reckless it is. It’s funny, brazen, and a little uncomfortable on purpose, because it’s about the parts of ourselves we usually don’t admit out loud.
